Westside
Bought a 23 Bolt this summer with 8500 miles for $19000 without much research, wanted a parts runner car have a Chev Sonic.
So far am happy with it, plug it into oven range plug when I get to the farm, charges 25 miles per hour. It has a life time of 3.5 miles per kilowatt.
In 10 degree it is running about 2 miles per kilowatt, I am sure by the time winter is over it will be less than 3.5 miles per kilowatt.
I don't like taking my eyes of the road to adjust fan and heater controls. Don't use Onstar or apple play.
I like not stopping at the gas station for gas. Not interested in using all the gadgets that it has. Will not use chargers in town ,to expensive.
I have a 49 kw solar array that we settle up kilowatts on Jan 1. This year in the positive so REC pays $.046 kilowatt on overrun. I think
It depends on cost per kilowatt if it works for you. REC normal charge is $.13 kilowatt.
Put 6000 miles on it since Aug, just short trips always try to have it charged up at home.
The bad $.13kilowatt divided by 2miles per kilowatt = $.065 per mile x 100 miles = $6.50 per hundred miles for energy or fuel. If that is the
worse it gets for winter driving I can live with that.
