Northeast, Nebraska | I suppose it depends on how dry it is. We have been in a 2.5 to 3year severe drought here. The alfalfa has sucked all of the moisture out. The map is showing if there is any compaction in the entire 6" depth. When I switch it to the inch by inch mode, the compaction starts to decrease starting at the 8" mark and deeper. Here is a picture of it looking only at the 12" depth. you can see the alfalfa side does have more green in it at that level
