I have a 3M brand ratcheting crimper, kind of expensive to get the ratcheting crimpers but they are well worth it. With the ratcheting crimper you cannot pull a connection apart if you want to and I've never had one fail yet. I use non-insulated connectors for the most part and put heat shrink tubing over them for a very reliable and professional looking connection.
