You've got to watch those combo kits, they almost never include top of the line tools so it's not as good of a deal as you might think.


There are some M18 Fuel combo kits, but this isn't one of them. I think generally Fuel is brushless and if it doesn't say fuel it's old school brush motor. Non-fuel stuff is probably ok for occasional use (I think I have the oscillating tool in that kit and it's been fine), but there's a big difference in performance.

Doing some building repairs working alongside a carpenter, he had a non-fuel M18 1/4" hex impact driver like in that kit and I had M18 Fuel version... huge difference in ability and speed driving lags or long timberlock type screws. My Fuel on #2 torque setting would way outperform his non-fuel at full chooch. I almost never use #3 setting.
