I read on here the biggest question may be the overall efficiency of the JD CVT vs PS. I guess I haven't seen many complain about the operation. So-how does MF/Agco view fuel efficiency of IVT vs their PS? I'm not saying that's a determining factor for everyone, I'm just saying that seems to be the bulk of controversy here. 70,000 tractors of one type transmission from one mfg is a LOT!! How do they get those numbers? We've demo'd a JD CVT a couple times & I guess we didn't see the problems you mention. They were an 8x30 series though. We used them in tillage & lighter work. Whose engine is the MF using now in that series? |
