Agent Orange: Friendly fire that keeps on burning.

VA pays for mine and because they don't have an audiologist at my VA clinic, they refer me to a private practice. Current set is behind the ear Phonak. I really prefer the non-rechargeable type but the doc says the latest and greatest tech is only available if you buy the rechargeable type. So, that's what I'm using. Behind the ear don't interfere with my glasses. Travel is a minor pain because I have to carry the charger and wall brick. Throw away battery type is handier because I can just carry a card of batteries and keep another card in the console of the vehicle. I also carry a card of wax filters so I can change when filter becomes plugged. Phonak seems to be good stuff. Would be handier if VA would have bought me a charging dock with built in battery. That dock is good for a week of charging but they were too scotch to spring for the good stuff for a vet so I have to carry the AC stuff to keep batteries charged when I'm on the road.
