Subject: Re: Trimble RTK network to John Deere components

Brisbane, Australia
Deere definitely can't accept CMR+ corrections. Also, Deere can't accept third party RTK NMEA strings into the spray systems. Everyone else produces a "straight" A-B line and Deere's "straight" line has a curve in it to "follow the curve of the earth" or so their sales people tell us in Aus. Deere also started using physical wheel angle sensors in their auto steer systems long after Trimble went away from them to an intergarted gyro/accelerometer. Deere have kicked up a real fuss here with our Trimble RTK networks when they eventually realised they wouldn't be able to access it, keeping mindful that they declined the offer to tender to put the network together in the first place. No, I think Deere is really trying to lock everyone out of their hardware and keep a demarkation line between them and everyone else.......................
