Don't be worried about plugging the rolls on a 946. I have one and after thousands of acres cut, we have NEVER plugged the rolls. If you did plug, all you have to do is pick the head up and it will release pressure on the rolls. Flails are for grass, period. Alfalfa needs to be run thru rolls for the best job, and to be sure to not overcondition.
