Crawfordsville, Arkansas | Had great luck with Michelin and Mitas r1 with road wear. They look almost identical tread wise and wear down evenly.
Had a 3 year lease on a 7920 Deere years ago. It was my planter tractor and we sprayed with it also amongst a lot of other uses. It got a lot of road time. The lease was up so we cleaned it and returned it. Next day I got a call from the service manager asking why we put new tires on a lease tractor. I had ordered it with Michelin Agribib tires and at the end of 3 years and thousands of miles they looked new. Couldn’t tell any wear at all. They started selling a lot of new tractors with them after that.
I’m in the heart of rice and cane tires and I never saw the real need for them except in rare circumstances. If I can’t go with a R1W tire a rice and cane tire is just gonna get you more stuck further in. A lot of road miles on a rice tire and you can almost see the rubber wearing down. | |
