Ontario | There is block tread tractor tires. They are bragged to be good for roadwork as they are filled with tread much more so supposed to last longer. They are also good in the snow for traction but not in the mud. Have never used the blocktread style. I think Bkt,Michellin
maybe others make them. We have ran regular TM800 trelleborgs doing a lot of roading and got 6000 hrs out of rear tires until they cracked. Lots of tread left but should probably have ran higher pressure. Nowadays we just use BKT as they are cheap and tread wears out first before they crack but tread will be low by 5-6000 hours. Wide tires also wear better than skinny tires because there is more rubber to wear away. | |
