Most behind-the-ear models now are rechargeable. You put them in the charger by your bedside when you go to bed and they are fully charged when you get up the next morning. A full charge will usually last 16-18 hours at least. My wife has never had a problem with hers running out of battery. There's been a few times when we were traveling that they have gone for two days without recharging.
