On most GM's the vent tube comes out of the tank into the charcoal canister then it goes through a solenoid with a small breather canister on it ... if you are on dusty roads a lot it will get into the solenoid enough to seize it and then it will not open to let the fuel tank vent .. most the time you will get a check engine code can't remember for sure what code number i will look it up if you are getting a code... This just happened on my Tahoe the other week i was able to take the solenoid of spray some PB in it blow some air through it a few times and loosen it up so it worked again. Let me know how it goes
