East of Broken Bow | Got my first semi, a single axle tractor a coupole years ago from an agtalk member. Was exactly as they described it to be, and still going strong. An old Ford Aeromax with an 855 Cummins they sold me in good running condition for $2500. Heater doesn't work, but pretty much everything else does. Have put very little into that truck. Found a trailer for $8000 in OK condition and been hauling with it ever since. The trailer had old tires on it when I got it, here and there one would crack or bulge, and one or two actually popped, so I looked around and got used take-offs from a fleet shop for $75-125 per tire, mostly 2 year old Michelins and Bridgestones. Figured they should be as good as new import tires on the trailer. | |
