I agree with you we do spread potash and map on our higher ground soils in fall and disc it in on corn stalk fields so it is done and out of way so we do not have to mess with it in spring, but on wet muck we never spread it till spring as when pumps are shut off over winter it can become water saturated if we get heavy rains during that period.
