I used to have a Chromecast, but my new TV has Google TV built in, so all the same stuff. It basically connects to the internet through your wi-fi, and lets you stream content like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Plex, Pluto, Tubi and what have you. The satellite services are only trying to trick you it seems.
