S Illinois | Definitely not. Boards are there to check the company leadership and give direction to the CEO/company. Boards “should” have the most power over a company not the other way around. Bad things happen when the boards of any company rubber stamps what the CEO wants.
Edit: A company’s board/CEO relationship doesn’t really feel like a good comparison for the executive branch leadership.
