| Have a driveway here that's been a mud hole forever and had endless loads of rock up to 3" dumped on it over the last 50 years. Two years ago we tiled the field beside it and had a tile line 10' away that didn't help as much as I had hoped. Last spring I dug a 24" wide trench along the side of the driveway, laid down a permeable fabric, two 3" tile lines hooked into the field tile then filled it with 1" clean rock, wrapped the fabric over that and topped it with 3-4" of clean rock. I have limited expectations because I was limited to draining it through 400' of 3" tile on minimal grade but it has totally transformed that driveway from a mud hole to being rock solid.
