| I’ve talked to two mechanics about this looking at new diesels. They said to stick with a 2006 duramax or 2010-2012 duramax with the later ones to 2020 being ok just with emissions. 1997-2003 ford 7.3, 2016-2021 ford 6.7 and I can’t remember the 2 years of dodge they said because personally I won’t buy dodge. They both said stay away from brand new diesels if you can or buy the best warranty and that with any brand you can get a good one or bad one with brand new. One said he wished Toyota would make a 3/4-1ton and I agree. My tundra has been 5 times the truck my 150 and my dads 1500 could dream of being as far as reliability. Anyway they might be wrong that’s just the info I got. | |
