| 1st semi was a 1973 and a half 4070A.
The 1/2 is mentioned as that is when they raised the cab.
The raised cab allowed an intercooler on the small cam Cummins, giving it a factory 350 hp.
This one probably had 500 or so .
Timing was advanced and the governor was bypassed.
It was full of fuel and the clutch was locked up.
It Came with a 38 ft floor grain trailer.
It took all I had to buy it so I had to drive I without a clutch till I got enough money to put a clutch in it.
At that time the state would send a temporary plate and send a bill in the mail.
Insurance also would send a bill. That gave me 30 days to make enough to get going. | |
