Northwest Missouri | Have been feeding at mid America feeyard in ohiowa NE for years but they got bought out and not custom feeding anymore. They are recommending hi choice feeders in Scott city KS and orleans NE. Don’t have single load pens in Nebraska though and I really don’t want to send them to western ks. Feel like the feed costs are too high and cattle get a better price in the north.
Feed my own calves and buy a few here and there, send them to the Feedyard weighing 900-1000. Selling on the grid mostly to excel in Schuler. Been working pretty good. Just don’t have the pen space to finish them myself yet. Maybe in another couple years.
Anyone have some other options? Southern Iowa or eastern Nebraska? | |
