Thanks for the input. This was the first year in our area 65-95 and 70-27 weren't that great. The newer numbers kinda finally passed them. It was wet in our area early, but not in August/September, so thats an interesting watch out for 68-35.
We are 23 miles straight east of St. Louis and we had similar weather. 70-27 probably had an average year, had we could 1 rain in August I feel like it would have been incredible. 68-35 is probably the only newer number that I feel has been consistently better than any of the older or even the newer numbers. We are going to plant more of it, but only on rotated acres on good ground. 65-95 has never been the plot winner like say 68-35 has been, but it is always in the top 1/4 and consistently stands and had good grain quality and truly works everywhere except maybe the most productive acres. I am to the point we don't plant much new stuff anymore because it isn't worth the risk and with the speed to market these companies have, the local agronomists struggle to find enough data to be confident on where to place the new numbers.
