| Pretty sure it comes out tomorrow, Friday. I have no idea anymore on what will happen. I feel we have more downside potential then upside but that’s just my gut and that’s been wrong on this cattle market the last six months. I guess I was right that we’d make big cattle. Did not expect demand to hold in so strong. Feeders are screaming in the barn for where the board is. When 29 head of calves weighing 312 bring 5.06 a pound in Idaho or 1577 dollars per head it’s wild out. Larger feeders staying high but fairly steady to up. Light calves under 500 pounds have really been on a tear the last week higher. I’m not trying to out guess this one. Just buy them at where my numbers say I need to be. Hedge them off on the board and be happy making my little slice and roll on. | |
