If feeding round bales across it most of the time, I would go same level and get it done, nice to cross things off the list and not have to get back to it another time, seems like those "temporary" things sometimes out last the permanent ones, at least here and with round bales gives more room before the hay gets pulled over the wall if I am understanding your situation and purpose.
