Subject: RE: No-till Drip Cotton and fertilizer application

Thanks. I need to find some experts on pumping the p & k through the tape. I think I will definitely try the injection near the row at or just before planting this year on a block. You run all your micros through tape? Typically all I’m putting out is zinc and boron - usually foliar along with biologics and I don’t know if you can put that stuff in or not. I’ve been wary of putting out too many unknown things through my tape as I’d hate to clog it because I can’t afford a big mess up.

I need to find someone that I trust that sells good stuff with people that have used it. Around here the two or three dealers I’ve been getting stuff from just say either “I don’t know” or “I heard of somebody using this through their tape with no problems” with no real concrete examples of people that I can talk to about their experiences. Any expert recommendations people or companies would be appreciated - I’ve only been farming drip about 6 years and have been maxing out at about 3.5 bales on my good water stuff (4.5 - 5g). Those farms haven’t topped 3 since I’ve been no till with wheat the last 2 yrs and I know its not seed as those seeds are performing on neighboring farms with similar soil under pivots.I know I am leaving $$ in the field with management.
