Finding the mythical “nice $10k pickup” has gotten much, much more difficult over the last several years.
I’m not sure how/why people run the miles up on these $60,000 diesel pickups, but there is very little out there under 55,000 miles for less than $40k. Plenty of 100,000+ mile trucks only a few years old and wanting insane money.
Rust is just so hard on 10+ year old stuff in this region. I’ve always bought pure junk and run it until the wheels fall off, but the market these last few years has really made it tough to find those deals.
Not to mention most are crew cabs and have ridiculous options.
