cropsey, il 61731 | I typically buy the generic dodge for $10k (2007) and make it worthless eventually. I'd like to move to a nicer/newer truck but it looks like my choices are the almost worn out $10K trucks or someone's 200K mile, $29K truck. They usually look nice which maybe due to being newer. They also tend to have 4 doors and a short bed. I'd prefer a standard cab and long bed.
Dodges have typically been cheaper but I could be wrong. I also think that since new truck prices have reached $100K, maybe I should think the $29K used truck is a bargain. Even though I feel bad for someone already losing $50k to $70k in value, I don't know that losing $29K will be a significantly better experience than losing $10K. Does that make sense?
Anyone been shopping lately for 5 to 15 year old trucks and is there a range that is a better value? (any brand). thanks
