Have a large one on the farm and a medium one at my house. The large has holes drilled in the bottom to let air in to burn better the medium on i have doesn't and I think im gonna add then. There's some sort of expanded metal on top to keep embers from flying out and if the bottom starts to fill with junk that won't burn you can pick it up and the floor can drop out. They're a very nice.
