| Very true, I struggle to fill their shoes every day. I actually first misinterpreted the title to the other thread, thinking it was about things that I thought were crazy that my mom and dad said, but worked out pretty well in the end. If we had a threat about that, I think it would get a lot of responses. A lot of Farm people think they are all that and then some, in reality they were born on third base and think they hit a triple. I have lots of empathy for people that didn’t have the greatest parents, but generally speaking, and especially with rural people, the greatest advantage you can have in life is having been raised by great parents who were committed to doing the right thing. | |
