Amherst WI | No it doesn’t, he sounds like he was a horrible person no matter if he’s dead or alive.
My own father who is still alive isn’t the worlds worst person by any means but often when I needed him he wasn’t there like he should have been, being a father myself now I see that even more.
When my parents divorced I went from a A/B student to a D/F student. I wouldn’t do my homework. My son who is about the same age isn’t doing his homework now either. I told my dad this and he said it sounded like someone else he knew about that age. The difference is myself and my wife work hard every night with him to make sure he does it, often 30 minutes of homework takes 3.5 hours by the time he gets done coming up with excuses and does it.
Where was my dad when I was struggling? He lived away so my mom was left to deal with it, and she didn’t do anything about it either.
There were two opportunities for me to farm family land, and neither time those opportunities came up was I offered a chance to do it, when I asked I was told no.
Now 20 years later and I made my own way somewhere 150 miles away they complain they don’t get to see me much. Gee wonder why?
Your grandson could have been driving the combine right behind your house but you never gave me that opportunity, so this is how it has to be now.
My grandfather wasn’t this way, he was a great person and my best friend until he passed. | |
