Something I notice with store meat is there is always what seems to be a lot of excess moisture. If you cut up some of those boneless chicken breasts you bought for $1.89 they are boiling for a long time before they are frying from all the adding “flavor enhancing solution”, which is basically salt water they are selling for $16/gallon in the chicken breasts.
D2C can be a good path but people need to realize their costs and what their time is worth. Selling ground beef for $4 or hanging steers for sale barn prices you are only fooling yourself if you think your doing good on it.
