southwestern illinois | i have a friend near peoria that has done it and is doing very well. his problems are always employees. He has somewhat lost interest in the farm because that other business is doing well. Being the owner and sometimes operator he tends to get into some great deals. While picking up a dumpster on a construction site the foreman asked him if he works weekends. he asked why because he owns the place . well the construction company would get a bonus if the project was complete and cleaned up by a certain date. They had to remove all the lumber forms and scaffolding on a bridge. well he got it all done and received a premium because of the weekend work. Then he dumped it back at the staging area and had his guys go through the lumber . They sold the used lumber. thats a win..win win example. good luck | |
