| Often we learn more life lessons from those ornery soreheads than we give them credit for. I wouldn’t be farming if I listened to my dad telling me it was a waste of time, never make any money, don’t know what I’m doing, etc. His negative attitude a lot of times made me research things twice as much, put more thought into what I was doing…at some point you gain enough confidence on your own that you quit trying to impress or gain approval and that is the most liberating feeling. Yes it’s tiresome but I also remember how his dad treated him so I give him some leeway. | |
