Central Kansas | Oh man!! Greens are great. I prefer mustard or kale these days. Louisiana friends keep us supplied with andouille sausage and sometimes Tasso….a special ham for seasoning purposes. Really kicks up greens as the andouille has a special, spicy taste. I use vinegar on mine, especially the vinegar out of the jar with those tiny yellow peppers. Then cornbread of course. A Jalepeno infused honey does it for me on the cornbread. Our greens and spinach…and watermelon radishes are going strong here in central Kansas. Newly seeded alfalfa has softball sized turnips and cover crops are loaded with daikon radish. Fall garden truck is great!! You have a Wonderful garden, lots of work…and….people will take what you give them IF YOU PICK AND CLEAN IT FIRST!!! Carry on and enjoy. | |
