Yet, most land that is cash rented is a losing proposition.,
there are a few profitable deals, especially if it is family or friends. But many are using paid for land to average out the rented ground.


We have built most of what we have by renting and partnering with quality landlords to do it.

If they want to beat every last cent out of you than that's not a good partnership.

A landlord just sold some land for $8000/ac which is unheard of around here, it was on the market for a week. Why would I buy that when I have been renting it for $100/ac plus a bonus in the good years? With current interest rates and corn price the entire gross would struggle to meet what the interest would cost on that.

Have we been buying land? Yes. The first chunk cash flowed itself. The next one not so much but even though we have found quality people to rent from, it is nice to own it and not have to worry about the what if's too.
