don't be so sure of that. Many times its just putting up ground that has equity in it that is also already mortgaged. So if your picking up new ground and taking on a payment that exceeds the gross income on a per acre basis your not really helping yourself are you? I know there are operations capable of doing it but they are the exception and not the rule.
