Let him shoot one of your 870's.
Buy him a few flats of shells.
Take them to a real trap field.
I see you are in NW Ohio. Take your son to Jaqua's Fine Guns in Findlay. Be prepared to be in for a shock.
I'm happy to let them use my 870s, but they prefer not to always have to borrow. They went with the FFA to the sportsmen's club a few times and got hooked.
