This certainly does not happen every year
There has been next to 0 subsidies the last 3 years.
Regarding crop insurance it's not all that lucrative unless you have a total failure.
Read the posts a few days ago from the guys that paid in for 20-30 years and collected twice.
Not a real good return on your investment.
