nw ohio | My high school son and his buddies have taken an interest in trapshooting just for fun. None of them have their own guns yet and have been using their dads or uncles. They would like to buy (or ask for Christmas) their own but don't really know what's good. I have a couple Remington 870s that I bought 25-30 years ago, but haven't kept up on the shotgun world.
What would be good for them in the $400-600 range? Is the current Remington 870 as good as the old ones after the bankruptcy?
