That’s why I specifically said the interest cost doesn’t change. If you’re spreading the interest cost of the equipment over more head your cost per head will decline slightly. Wear and tear is still assumed the same on a cost/ hd basis. .15/hd. Variable would be the class of cattle. 400#’s vs. 1400#’s is a big difference. We feed around 50% cows vs. calves so it evens out, but the costs should be figured against the pounds fed in thee expected lifetime.
