I think long term this will create a new push towards barns. Possibly mega barns. Just have to have the labor to manage them. and kick the pairs out to keep the calf health up. Money always is the driver.
Doubt it, packers aren't going to invest in that type of infrastructure in the us, they'll just make their imports more efficient and bring it in from lower cost countries where labor is more reliable and there are less regulations. |
