Berks County Pa. | There was a technique to have them ripen in storage. I do not remember it perfectly. You wrapped each tomato in newspaper individually. Then you stored them in the dark, I believe. The storage was in a cool place. They would ripen slowly and you could have some tomatoes till Christmas. It has been a long time since I did it, but it actually worked fairly well. Perhaps you could find the technique by "ggogling" | |
