I love these replies so far.
For the most part it's not hard to see whose 60+ and who's under 40 still trying to make their way.
The younger people can see it's messed up and want change and the older guys who already have their bin full of coins like scrooge McDuck feel threatened.
So just so I have this straight....
It's fine most of the population is obese, is on a daily Rx (or several), doctors just write Rx's instead of suggesting lifestyle/diet changes, 70% of TV ad time is Rx drug commercials, and the media is completely complicit with the Rx drug companies because they don't want to piss off their biggest advertising customer? Got it....
Well, I'm inbetween those ages, so do I get to have an inbetween position?
Most of what RFKj is talking about isn't going to do much to solve those issues.
Reformed banker has it right.
If you want to actually solve some of those issues, it's pretty simple. Ban added sugar from our foods. But demonizing HFCS while giving sucrose a pass isn't an intellectually honest position.
