Yeah it would, because if the national average of corn falls a few bu/ac because of it then that would bolster the grain market overnight.

We have a lot more tools, knowledge, practices, and machinery capability as compared to 30 years ago. Better planters, better tillage tools, better chemistries, cover crops, hybrids, drainage, etc…. It could easily be done. Sure, grass control would be more difficult in corn, and atrazine helps heat up other chemicals such as mesotrione, but let’s not act like atrazine is the only tool in the tool box.

It would force companies like Bayer, BASF, Corteva, and syngenta to do what they should’ve been doing this entire time, researching and finding new and improved chemistries and modes of action. But why do it now? Round up works and it’s epa approved, so why put in the effort when the reward isn’t there?

Necessity is the mother of invention. There are better chemistries out there, the necessity isn’t there currently
