Barry County, MI | MJ everybody has a different look for what a better life means I'd guess . flying high I guess. kids lives not so simple , I guess I disagree , I started in the mines in the summer of 1955 ten years old and I really liked it and when next door neighbor got killed in a tractor roll over I was asked to help milk 10 cows the first year after his death in mornings before school and I liked it I was 11 as my dad was killed by a drunk driver hitting him head on when I was 8 so I guess I don't know what was tough or not. but just making a living on a farm is good but I always took time to live too . 45 years ago when we got this Mich farm we had two babies girls and Christmas coming and no money I loaded a 74 stepside pickup bed full of corn to take to the elevator to get $35 or 40 dollars to get them kids some Christmas so I guess everybody has to figure what they want ha ha archie | |
