North Central Iowa | I don’t have one or used one, but what I can tell from their website, you don’t need anything real special. Looks like any reasonably modern smart phone or tablet (w/ sim for cellular access) would be fine, apple or android. Install the agra-gps connect app, enter your ntrip credentials in the app to connect to your base station of choice (that is sending corrections out on the internet).
Only if you needed to use a Bluetooth to serial port adapter do only certain android phones/tablets work with the “serial port profile”. Doesn’t worth with apple devices. But it looks like the agragps works directly with Bluetooth, so not an issue.
The above being said, you don’t mention what rtk system you are trying to connect to, so that might change or complicate things. Nebraska doesn’t have a state CORS network. Close enough to edge of Iowa to connect to iowa’s? Private rtk base station with an ntrip caster? | |
