One thing is Labor. There is a tipping point that guy cannot do it alone. Then you have to farm a bunch of extra acres just to pay a hired hand. Then you will need a bigger tractor/combine for the extra acres. Then you might need extra ac to really justify the extra equipment…. On and on.
