Subject: John Deere tracks (pics)

NC Iowa
We have ran Deere RX tractors now for 5-6 years and are noticing a difference in track quality from the 9620RX to the newer 9RX 640. The tracks from the earlier tractors seem to hold up better and would show normal wear and cupping of the tracks as they aged.

With the tracks we have now they are just coming apart. Large chunks. Rubber seems to be coming apart inside the lugs and will come up and hit the window during road travel. Rocks also fly all over from getting into the voids.

We do our fair share of roading but no more than when we had better luck with tracks. We think something has changed in the curing process post Covid. Deere also wants to blame weight on the rear but the front tracks break apart first???

Pictures below are of our 2 year old 9RX640 with 1400hrs and my neighbors case 600quad with 2000.

Our new combine tracks are also showing unusual wear.
