| Is it really in the interest of American farmers to factory "farm animals" for lack of a better term and let it be done by a fraction of the people that are all under contract with Tyson without having price discovery from fair competition in the market place?
A large part of the competitive business advantage is not through efficiency gained in production but regulatory capture by food processors and distributors? I really doubt the hog industry could have consolidated the way it did if someone could open a butcher shop and sell meat easily as long as it was done in sanitary conditions. | |
