ECIL | I'm 64 and started taking it early. My reasoning is to get every $ I can now before SS either runs out of funds or payments get reduced, either of which will likely happen within 10 years. Or SS taxes will have to increase to maintain funding or the income top level will need to move up to increase funding. Demographics show fewer people will be paying in the future, compounding the problem. If I elected to wait chances are strong I would receive fewer SS money overall. | |
