I was at a field day meeting yesterday and finally got to drive a JD IVT with an implement. Being an AGCO dealer I knew what we could do in the field. I was extremely shocked at the difference. This isn't a bashing session but it a firsthand expierence. There is no comparison in technology. I seen cutaways of design and in the field performance was both very amazing. If you ever get the chance to put the CVT and IVT in the field where you can pull a load, I highly recommend it. Previously I could not understand why some of the talk here by JD owners why they choose the older technology transmissions like powershifts and gear transmissions when doing tillage. Now I do.
